The Best Places for Outdoor Nature-Inspired Engagement Photos in Omaha, Nebraska

If you’re planning engagement photos and love the idea of being surrounded by trees, sunshine, and wide-open spaces, Omaha has some beautiful spots to choose from. From quiet trails to blooming gardens, there’s a little bit of everything depending on the vibe you want. I’ve photographed couples all around the city, and these are a few of my favorite spots when it comes to the best places for outdoor nature-inspired engagement photos in Omaha, Nebraska.

Hitchcock Nature Center

Hitchcock is a bit of a hike, located about 25 minutes northeast of Downtown Omaha.   But that’s what makes it so worth it. With rolling hills, prairie grasses, and the prettiest golden-hour light, this spot has that laid-back, picnic-on-the-prairie feeling. It’s great for couples who love a little adventure in their session. Carter and Faith’s engagement photos here were full of warmth and joy—this location always delivers those glowing, sun-soaked images.

Memorial Park

If you’d rather stay closer to the city, Memorial Park is a classic choice. The rose garden is beautiful when it’s in bloom, and the park’s huge trees and wide-open lawns give so much variety in your photos. Dahn and Paige’s engagement session here was romantic and timeless!!

Elmwood Park

Elmwood Park is one of those hidden gems that feels like a little forest escape. Its big old trees, open green spaces, and quiet roads that photograph beautifully make it a perfect spot. It’s a gorgeous place for fall sessions as well! Drew and Abigail’s engagement photos here were simple, sweet, and full of natural charm. This park has such an easygoing feel that lets couples relax and be themselves.

Tiny humans walking down the aisle are adorable—but beyond the cuteness, flower girls and ring bearers add a layer of sweetness, personality, and connection to your ceremony that adults simply can’t replicate.

Austin and Sadie’s engagement photos at the Joslyn Art Museum were an absolute dream to capture and easily some of my very favorites of 2025. They are the kind of couple who radiate joy and love everywhere they go, and that energy translated so beautifully into their photos.
