A Classic Black and White Wedding at A View at West Shores || Lucas + Sophia

Lucas and Sophia’s wedding at A View at West Shores was timeless.

Held on a warm September day, this black and white wedding was the perfect blend of elegance, emotion, and classic style. The lakeside Nebraska venue set the stage for a beautiful wedding day filled with so much joy and so much emotion.

Getting Ready at A View at West Shores

The day began in the private getting-ready suites at the venue, where Sophia spent the morning with her mom and bridesmaids. There was so much happiness in the air (and a few happy tears and lots of anticipation, too).

Sophia’s bridal details included timeless white heels and a clean, structured gown with a modern silhouette. Her look was the perfect reflection of the day’s sophisticated aesthetic.

A Timeless Black and White Bridal Party

The bridal party attire added to the classic black and white wedding vibe. Sophia’s three bridesmaids wore sleek black dresses. Their white rose bouquets, created by Loess Hills Floral Studio, were lush and simple.

The groomsmen wore black suits, black shirts, and black ties, while Lucas stood out in a white tux with black lapels.

The Ceremony with a View

Their ceremony took place on the outdoor patio overlooking West Shores lake. Nebraska came through with a blue sky and wonderful weather.

Clean lines and gorgeous views surrounded Lucas and Sophia as they said their vows. The white ceremony chairs tied everything together, creating that classic black and white wedding vibe. The simple ceremony space allows everyone to focus on what matters most, the couple and their love.

Reception in the Large Suite

Inside the venue’s spacious Large Suite, Lucas and Sophia hosted their black and white reception. It was both modern and elegant. Simple decor was all they needed because the floor-to-ceiling windows with a lakefront view was enough to stun their guests, and provide excellent lighting!

Why A View at West Shores Is a Photographer’s Dream

As a photographer, I can’t recommend A View at West Shores enough. It’s modern and clean without being sterile—elegant without feeling stuffy. The venue features:

Floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light
A beautiful lakeside ceremony space
Spacious indoor suites with wood floors and whitewashed brick
Private getting-ready lounges
A large balcony for cocktail hour or portraits

Whether you’re photographing vibrant color or timeless black and white, this venue gives you so much creative flexibility.
