One of my favorite parts of capturing a wedding day is photographing wedding day detail photos. These images are a chance to showcase the small, meaningful elements that make your wedding unique. From sentimental heirlooms to carefully curated accessories, these details help tell the story and set the tone of your big day.

On the most beautiful day back in June, I had the chance to meet Collin and Jacey for the cutest engagement photo session out at Mahoney State Park.

The most stunning architectural backdrops, beautiful golden-hour lighting, and the sweetest couple. Taking Tyler and Kenzie’s engagement photos in downtown Omaha meant another session filled with a whole lot of love and joy. 

It was a rom-com romance from the very start. Apartment neighbors finding love just next door.

They started out as just a couple of friends, chatting with each other in their group at church. That’s where their story starts, where it all began. I think Porscha explained their beginnings so well, “It didn’t take long for my walls to come down and our love to grow”.

Emmy and Kipper met for drinks on a random Monday and it was about as close to love as first sight as you can get. Eight hours later they were still out and about. From that point on Emmy says, they were pretty much inseparable.

Lindsay and Blake opted to have an intimate backyard wedding at their family’s farm near Lincoln Nebraska. The equestrian, black, gold, and classy style fit their personalities in a way that made the day even more personal and celebratory. We even got to do photos with Lindsay’s horse! This was truly a no-fuss kind of day where the focus was to celebrate with friends who came from far and near.

Little did Jordyn know, her family had a sneaky plan to set her up with David, the friendly car sales guy. And guess what? It worked! Jordyn fell in love not only with David but also with the charm of Nebraska. So, for their engagement photos, we decided to incorporate a vintage Cadillac, as it felt like the perfect fit.

Joel and Margaret have that head-over-heels, high-school-sweetheart, best friend kind of love. Their day was one of those weddings I’d re-live over and over again if I could. It was simple, joy-filled, and packed full of people who love them and are there to support them. They set aside any stress of making things perfect and focused on the people around them and the marriage they were about to enter. 
And that’s really all that matters.
