Some wedding days feel extra special, not because they’re grand or elaborate, but because they’re so deeply personal. Zach and Ally’s September celebration was exactly that: joyful, romantic, and filled with laughter that made everyone in the room feel like family. Their day was a beautiful example of why an intimate wedding at Lucile’s Old Market is such a dream. It’s perfect for couples who want something meaningful and warm in downtown Omaha.
Tucked away in Omaha’s historic Old Market, Lucile’s Old Market feels like a secret you only get to discover if you know where to look. Step through its doors and suddenly the city noise fades away, replaced by ivy-covered brick walls, twinkling string lights, and a courtyard that feels straight out of an Italian garden.

Lucile’s is one of the most beloved intimate wedding venues in Nebraska—and it’s easy to see why. With seating for up to 80 guests (or 140 for cocktail-style events), it’s perfectly suited for couples who want to be fully present with the people they love most. The space itself needs very little added décor; the greenery, historic charm, and soft lighting create an effortlessly romantic atmosphere all on their own.

Another huge perk? On-site services that truly simplify the planning process. Tables, chairs, linens, a bar setup, and a dedicated venue coordinator are included, along with seamless in-house catering through Abraham Catering. Everything flows naturally—allowing couples to focus on the experience rather than logistics.
Zach and Ally’s wedding day began quietly and intentionally. Ally got ready at home alongside her mom and her closest friends, setting a calm, joyful tone for the day ahead. There was an ease to the morning, lots of smiles and laughter.
It was clear they were getting Ally ready to marry her very best friend.

Their first look took place in the courtyard ceremony space, and it was every bit as romantic as you’d imagine. When Zach and Ally saw each other for the first time that day, the joy was instant and contagious. Big smiles, laughter, and that unmistakable we’re really doing this energy filled the space.

After soaking in the moment together, they stepped inside the reception area to greet their parents and family members, sharing hugs and excitement before the rest of the day unfolded.
One of my favorite parts about an intimate wedding at Lucile’s Old Market is how many unique portrait locations are just steps away. Zach and Ally’s portraits perfectly reflected their personalities—romantic, playful, and completely in love.
We captured:
Outdoor garden-inspired portraits in the courtyard
Indoor images with an old-money, romantic feel inside the historic space
Cobblestone sidewalk portraits surrounded by brick buildings in the Old Market

Their intimate outdoor ceremony was heartfelt and full of emotion. With a smaller guest count, it was clear that every single person present played an important role in Zach and Ally’s story.
The reception that followed was just as meaningful—warm, joyful, and filled with connection. Conversations flowed easily, laughter echoed through the space, and the evening felt less like an event and more like a celebration among family.

Zach and Ally’s day was a perfect reflection of what makes Lucile’s Old Market so special. It’s a venue that offers historic charm, garden romance, and a peaceful escape right in the middle of downtown Omaha. For couples who value connection, beauty, and an experience that feels personal rather than overwhelming, Lucile’s truly shines.
An intimate wedding here isn’t about doing less—it’s about focusing on what matters most.
If you’re dreaming of an intimate wedding at Lucile’s Old Market and want photography that captures not just how your day looked, but how it felt, I’d love to be part of your story. Let’s create something meaningful together.
