There’s something I really love about a little wedding. You know the kind—the ones with only the couple’s nearest and dearest, where everyone gathers around family-style tables, sharing stories, inside jokes, and maybe an embarrassing memory or two. The kind where the whole day feels centered on connection, love, and being fully present.
Intimate weddings will always be one of my favorite types to photograph (read more about why here!), and recently I’ve had the joy of exploring some of the most beautiful venues in Nebraska.
Here are three of my favorite intimate wedding venues in Nebraska. Each one is uniquely charming, romantic, and perfect for small, heartfelt gatherings.
An Elegant, Romantic Dining Setting
Tucked away in Lincoln, Casa Bovina is more than just a restaurant—it’s a refined, intimate space that feels made for close, heartfelt celebrations. Here’s what makes it special:
Elegant Private Dining: Casa Bovina offers private dining rooms, including the Alba Room and a Certified Piedmontese Private Dining Room, both ideal for small wedding parties.
Capacity: Its maximum occupancy for parties is about 80.
Atmosphere: The main dining area is warm and sophisticated, with softly glowing lighting, marble accents, and rich décor—creating a romantic, family-style feel.
Food Experience: The food here is incredible!! Your guests are in for a treat.

A Whimsical, Historic Courtyard Venue
If you’re looking for something truly enchanting, The Bohemian Gardens in Omaha is a standout among intimate wedding venues in Nebraska.
History & Charm: The space dates back to the 1880s when the surrounding neighborhood was home to Czech immigrants. The Gardens themselves were once a dance hall (built in 1895) and later converted into the gardens they are today!
Indoor + Outdoor Spaces: It combines a historic indoor area with a sprawling garden courtyard, giving you flexibility to choose or blend both for your ceremony and reception.
Overnight Option: One of my favorite parts: the venue can sleep 15 people, so your wedding party can stay on-site.
On-Sight Event Staff: They offer full-service event support—from catering to décor—tailoring each detail to your vision

A Secret Garden Right in the Heart of the City
Hidden in downtown Omaha’s historic Old Market, Lucile’s offers a blend of city and serenity—making it one of the top picks for intimate wedding venues in Nebraska.
Enchanting Courtyard: Lucile’s has a private courtyard framed by ivy-draped brick walls and string lights, giving romantic Italian garden vibes.
Seating Capacity: For seated events, it can accommodate up to 80 guests, and up to 140 guests in a cocktail-style setup.
On-sight Services: Rental comes with tables, seating, linens, a bar setup, and a dedicated venue coordinator to help with everything you need! They also partner with Abraham Catering, meaning a seamless in-house dining experience.
Ambiance: This hidden garden-like space is often described as a “secret garden” in the city, offering lush greenery, twinkling lights, and a historic, romantic feel. They do have some unique decor restrictions, requiring anything brought in to be approved. However, this is a space that needs no extra decor to help it stand out. Its stunning all on it’s own.

If you want a meaningful and romantic celebration, these intimate wedding venues in Nebraska are a beautiful place to start. Casa Bovina offers an elevated dining experience. Bohemian Gardens brings whimsical charm. Lucile’s Old Market feels like a secret garden in the city. Each one creates an unforgettable setting for a small, heartfelt gathering.
If you’re currently planning your wedding and want help choosing the right venue, mapping out a photography timeline, or bringing your vision to life, I’d love to support you.
